Residents urged to take the Lahaina Recovery Plan survey [Island News]

The County of Maui Office of Recovery is seeking input from residents to aid in the development of the Lahaina Recovery Plan.

Through an online survey, community members are invited to share their perspectives and suggestions regarding the recovery process.

The survey will be available until May 15, 2024, and can be accessed on Maui Recovers’ Ola Lahaina page here. Managed by Anthology Research, a Hawai‘i-based market research firm, the survey is anonymous for participants.

According to the County of Maui, the survey is estimated to take around 10 minutes to complete. Its purpose is to gather valuable insights from residents, which will be crucial in shaping the long-term recovery plan for Lahaina.

Ola Lahaina, a platform by the County of Maui Office of Recovery and hosted on the Maui Recovers website, serves as a central resource for recovery-related information and engagement opportunities. As the community continues its journey towards recovery, Ola Lahaina remains a crucial avenue for residents to stay informed and contribute to the process.

About Nikki

Nikki Hollern is a mother of five, born and raised in Upcountry Maui, but she spent the last 15 years in the beautiful town of Lahaina. Lahaina stole her heart, with the people and the town being unlike any other. After the fire, her family had to relocate to Kahului.

Her heart remains in Lahaina, and her goal is to help this amazing community get back to where they belong. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to be part of the HCL ‘ohana, helping navigate this incredibly hard time and hopefully serving as a guiding light to assist the community in returning home and coming back even stronger.
